Semmelweis University is unique among Hungarian universities teaching health sciences. With its more than 250-year tradition, it has accumulated a huge amount of expertise, and hundreds of thousands of people have graduated here, including many famous scientists. Every year, more than 1,500 students graduate from Semmelweis University’s faculties, and fresh graduates find their first jobs within one to three months. 42 percent of doctors, 70 percent of dentists, 50 percent of pharmacists, and 27 percent of specialists working in Hungary graduated here.

The institution’s six faculties offer training in four languages ​​(Hungarian, English, German, Italian), and currently provide up-to-date and thorough preparation for the challenges of the modern age to approximately 16,000 students.
